Salem District Chess Association (SDCA) usually conducts 2 days District level tournaments for a meagre Rs 50 only and 3 days FIDE Rated tournaments for Rs 700 only. Many pages in this blogspot are not applicable for SDCA regarding money looting in lakhs conducting FIDE Rated tournaments. 

I re-started chess tournaments in year 2018. Since then, have not observed a single tournament being conducted with "excess profit". In fact, most of them were of  "loss" and "excess loss" type only for organizers. Even if CBI will investigate, Salem chess will come out with clean remarks.

Open Salem District Chess Association Practice Chess Tournament 2024

Entry fee was Rs 50 in both tournaments.

Salem District "Open" Chess Championship-2025

They conducted the same type, previous year 2024 for 2 days, entry fee being Rs 50. This year, in one day. They informed at venue that they could not get 2 days to conduct this tournament due to unexpected cirucmstances.
